WhatsApp is Developing a Function to Send Images in Original Quality

WhatsApp will add significant and intriguing features to its app. This feature pertains to the image quality of images shared via WhatsApp.

As we all know, WhatsApp automatically compresses images when they are sent. However, users can still send images via the document feature, allowing recipients to retain the original image quality.

According to the most recent announcement by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s beta program has been updated to version 2.23.2.11. Providing features that facilitate the transmission of photos in their original quality.

This feature addresses the needs of WhatsApp users who prefer to share photos in their original quality with family and friends.

This new feature is an addition to the Android beta version 2.21.15.7 quality setting feature, which was present in several previous beta versions. The quality set function offers numerous photo sending formats. Beginning with the ‘automatic,’ ‘best quality,’ and ‘data saver’ options.

Eventually, a new option labeled “original quality” will provide uncompressed images. The “best quality” option continues to compress the original image by 10 to 15%.

Aside from that, you can set any of the options listed above as default WhatsApp settings, according to importance.

There is currently no specific date or information regarding when the company will make the feature available to everyone in a full update. As this feature is currently in testing, it is possible that some modifications will be made before its final release.
